Help standards

Here are our working principles of transparency and control, corruption and security in crisis areas, our travel and procurement policies, our policy on financial assets and our principles of signing authority.

General Code of Conduct

Our General Code of Conduct is based on the corporate values and principles of action of “Help – Hilfe zur Selbsthilfe” as stipulated in the statutes of the association. See how we couple our key principles with transparency.

Anti-fraud and Anti-corruption Policy and Regulations

Our policy on corruption. These obligations apply to all members and employees of Help.

Core Humanitarian Standard on quality and accountability

The Core Humanitarian Standard on Quality and Accountability (CHS) is a direct result of the Joint Standards Initiative (JSI) in which the Humanitarian Accountability Partnership (HAP) International, People In Aid and the Sphere Project joined forces to seek greater coherence for users of humanitarian standards.

Twelve basic rules for humanitarian aid

The charities and Federal Ministries acting together in the "Coordination Committee for Humanitarian Aid" reached an agreement in the form of the "Twelve basic rules for humanitarian aid abroad" for their collaboration.

Sphere Handbook 2011

Our policy on financial assets are currently being revised and will be provided upon completion of this page for download.

Our policy on travel expenses are governed by the Federal Travel Expenses Act (BRKG). The text of which can be found on the website of the Federal Ministry of Justice.

In the allocation of goods and services at Help the 4-eyes principle applies. I.e. that in Help - Hilfe zur Selbsthilfe important decisions are not made by a single employee.
